Out : In the probability theory of Poker, one calls “Out” the cards which are likely to improve your hand

Odd : In the probability theory of Poker one calls “Odd”, the probability that your hand does not improve

Pair (one): A hand made up of two identical cards. One can have two identical cards of the same color. (ex: two 8 of spade)

Pairs (two): A hand with two pairs of of the same cards value (ex: two 8 and two servants)

Check: To say “check” means not betting and continue the game all the same but only if you are the 1st player to bet or if the preceding players said “Check” also. You will be able nevertheless to pass or start again if a player put before the end of the turn of bidding. You can say “Check” only if you are the 1st player to bet or if all the preceding players said “Check”

Small blind: In Texas Hold’ EM and Omaha, it is the 1st obligatory bet placed by the player located on the left button dealer.

Most of the time when you play poker online, the more you rake, the more fidelity points you will get from your pokerroom. That’s their way of thanking you playing with them.

Re-Buy (of tokens): Poker tournament during which a player can re-buy tokens and continue the game. The re-buy is possible at one given period of the tournament. The possibility of rebuying tokens increases the value of Prize Pool

To Re-raise (Raise): It is the fact of increasing the bet of the preceding player

Satellite: Poker tournament allowing to qualify for a more important tournament. The goal is to gain the series of tournaments which leads to the finale of the event. The advantage of the satellite tournaments is their weak entrance fee. The kitties to be gained can reach several million Euros.

Sit’n'go: Poker tournament which starts as soon as a table is full Continuation

Straight Flush: Hand made up of a continuation 5 of the same cards color (ex: 7,8,9,10, J of square)

Royal Flush: Hand made up of a continuation 5 royal cards (ex: 10, J, Q, K, has of spade)

To follow: It is the fact of equalizing the preceding bet, to follow a bidding.

Carpet: Center table where the common cards are deposited and where the pot is

Tournament: Competition of Poker programmed for one hour fixed

Multi-tables Tournament: In fact poker tournaments at fixed hour are played 12 or more. The winner is the player who has still all his tokens at the end of the competition.
